Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
Each sink begins as a single block of solid teak, chosen for grain that will circle the bowl without a break and kiln-dried before carving. The artisan hollows the basin by hand, follows the wood's own curves, sands the walls smooth, and seals every surface inside and out with a satin-matte, moisture-resistant finish made for daily water.
The doubt is fair — wood by a running tap sounds like a mistake. Teak is the answer the boat trade settled centuries ago: its own oils and silica shed water, and every surface is sealed inside and out. It stays warm under wet hands where porcelain goes cold — the same wood as the steam-room bench at the gym — and it makes the most ordinary minute of the morning worth noticing.
Cold water swirls against grain instead of porcelain while the kettle heats down the hall. Fourteen inches of carved teak turns the most routine minute of the morning into something worth slowing for, the rim warm under half-awake hands.
A dinner guest slips off to wash up and comes back two minutes late, having stood there turning the tap on and off over the wooden bowl. The story reaches the table ahead of them: there is a sink carved from one block down the hall.
Face washed, lights low, hands resting on a rim that is warm where stone would be cold. On a January night the last surface touched before bed is one a person shaped by hand, not a slab poured in a mold.

Tight, straight, even grain wraps the basin walls without a seam — the calm, consistent figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name. Wet fingers trace one continuous curve, no ridge where a lesser bowl would show its glue-up.
Teak carries its own natural oils — the reason it has lived on ship decks for centuries. The sealed satin-matte surface lets that character show at the rim while shedding the daily splash, and it never gives off the chemical smell a factory basin does.
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the carved bowl holds its shape beside daily running water. Twenty days in the kiln took the moisture out first, so the walls do not check as the bathroom heats and cools.
Kept sealed, the basin holds its golden tone for years — indoors teak deepens rather than fades, and only outdoor sun and rain silver it. If the exterior ever dulls, a light refresh of the finish brings the glow straight back.
Blocks are pulled one at a time for grain that will circle the bowl cleanly, then kiln-dried twenty days. Stock with checks or dull figure never makes the cut.
The basin is hollowed slightly proud of its final line, following the wood's own curves — leaving material for the handwork ahead.
Bowl, rim, and underside are sanded through successive grits until the walls feel smooth against a wet palm.
The waterproof sealant goes on in thin coats inside and out. The maker water-tests the bowl before it is signed out of the workshop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.
