Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
Our designers redrew this wave until it flowed cleanly from end to end at any viewing angle — no dead spots, no forced symmetry. Each 25-inch shelf is then cut from one solid teak board — no torsion box, no veneer skin — dried through three slow weeks in the kiln so the curve you hang is the curve you keep through furnace winters and humid Augusts.
Renters know the arithmetic: four apartments in six years and nothing on the walls worth taking down. This shelf is two drilled holes and a lifetime of moves — off the bracket, into a blanket, anchoring the next place within the hour. The wave becomes the one line on the wall the landlord did not choose, and it comes with you when the lease ends.
Tuesday, two minutes before the video call. The wave rides the wall behind the desk chair — one trailing pothos, three spines, nothing to tidy. A coworker asks about the curve before the agenda starts, and the meeting begins on the host's terms.
The first Sunday of each month, one framed photo comes down and a new print goes up. A dust cloth follows the curve in one pass — twelve small ceremonies a year, and the wall never stops feeling current.
When the overheads go off and the reading lamp takes over, its light rakes the oiled crest and throws a slow shadow down the wall. For an hour every night, the low sheen of the grain is the quietest show in the room.

Tight, straight, even grain runs the full length of the shelf, so the hand-shaped wave moves across calm figure — trace the curve with a finger and the grain never once interrupts it.
Teak carries its own natural oils — the box opens with a faint leather-and-pepper scent, not a chemical one. We hand-rub more oil into the curved face, deepening the gold to a warm satin under lamplight.
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with about half the seasonal movement of oak, the shelf stays flat and level under a loaded span — through 20% winter humidity and muggy Augusts alike.
In strong daily sun teak drifts toward silver-grey — a paper-thin surface change only. A light sanding and fresh oil bring the wave back to gold in an afternoon, whenever you choose.
Teak boards are pulled one at a time and matched by tone across a set, each already through its slow kiln cycle. Stock with twist, checks, or dull figure never makes the cut.
The wave is traced from templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line — leaving a pencil-width of material for the handwork that gives the curve its final profile.
The curved face and edges are sanded by hand through successive grits until the wave feels right against an open palm, not merely looks right.
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each until the sheen sits low and even. The maker checks flatness, bracket fit, and finish before the shelf is signed out.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.
