These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Shipping & returns
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The designers worked this chair the way a carver works a figure — curves flowing into one another, openings placed so light passes through the form. The workshop joins solid teak blocks, dried twenty days in a temperature-controlled kiln, then shapes seat, back, and arms by hand until the silhouette moves as one line. Joined blocks, said plainly — the joints are the engineering, not a shortcut.
Every sculptural chair meets the same skeptic: the guest who lowers in carefully, expecting art to punish sitting. This one answers with a seat carved for a body, joints cut to hold when the seasons swing, and no wobble to grow into. The double take happens in the first second; the hour spent reading in the chair does the convincing.

Teak, up close.
Grain that reads quiet
Tight, straight grain follows the seat into the back and arms, and where the carving wraps a curve the figure bends with it — a detail you find with your fingertips before your eyes, usually somewhere into the first week.
The finish nature applied
Teak carries its own natural oils; we hand-rub more into the seat and arms. The surface reads warm and matte under a bare forearm — never cold, never sticky in a humid August — and the chair arrives smelling of wood, not lacquer.
Density you can feel
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with about half the seasonal movement of oak, the carved seat and base stay solid and silent under daily use — no winter creak when the furnace drops the room's humidity through the floor.
Golden now, silver whenever
Indoors the chair will not silver — that takes outdoor sun and rain. It deepens toward honey-amber, fastest where hands rest on the arms, so the chair slowly records its own use; a light sanding and fresh oil level the tone anytime.
From plank to piece.
The wood selection
Selectors with thirty years at the lumber stacks pull teak blocks and match tone and grain through seat, back, and arms; twisted or dull stock never makes the cut.
The shaping process
The flowing form is traced from templates, then cut slightly proud of the line — spare material left for the carving that joins curve to curve without a visible seam.
The hand refinement
Seat, back, and arms are sanded by hand through five successively finer grits, the last pass by bare palm with eyes closed, until every surface a body touches feels finished.
The final inspection
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker sits in the chair, rocks it deliberately on a flat bench, and checks every joint by hand before it leaves the workshop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

How are the chairs built to last?
Every chair in this collection is solid hardwood with mortise-and-tenon joinery at the stress points — the seat-to-leg and back-to-seat joints that decide whether a chair lasts five years or fifty. Kiln-dried stock means the tenons stay tight when winter heating dries the room.
Can seat height or finish be customized?
Seat height and finish tone can be tailored when you order, because each chair is made to order. If your table runs tall or low, tell us its height and we will match the chairs to a comfortable clearance before the build starts.
Does this chair require assembly?
Yes — and we say so up front. This sculptural design is carved in sections from solid teak blocks and separates for safe transport. The sections rejoin with pre-fitted connections and the included key — a short job for one person before first use, no wordless diagrams involved.
What upkeep does a wooden chair need?
Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry. Check that floor glides stay snug, and refresh the oil on arms and seat edges yearly, where hands rest most — ten minutes with a rag, at home, no refinisher ever needed.
How are chairs and sets shipped?
Each chair is made to order, wrapped at every edge, and double-boxed. Pairs and sets ship together where possible; check the boxes on arrival and note any damage on the receipt — that keeps any claim fast. Tracking is sent to you at dispatch.
