Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
Gentle curves, open cutouts, and fluid transitions — a frame our designers refined until light passed through it and the silhouette held from every angle. Each teak board is chosen for even grain, then carved and joined with mortise-and-tenon at the stress points, glued and clamped, and hand-sanded until the arms feel finished before a cushion ever lands. Cushions are not included.
A chair either racks loose in a year or it does not, and that comes down to the joints. These are cut, glued, and cured as one piece — no cam lock to retighten, no wobble waiting to grow in. It arrives as a finished chair, not a Saturday of wordless diagrams, and it is still solid when the kids who climbed on it are grown.
Sunday, seven a.m., the good mug on the sill and thirty pages before the house stirs. The curved back holds a slow lean the sofa never managed, and the open frame keeps the corner light under a warm 2700K lamp.
Moved to the nursery for the newborn stretch, it holds the middle-of-the-night feed without a single creak — the joints cured tight at the workshop, the silence its whole feature at that hour.
Lamp low, phone face-down on the sculpted arm, tea going cold on purpose. After a heavy Wednesday the open frame keeps the corner from closing in, and the teak arm has gone warm under a resting hand.

Tight, straight, even grain runs the length of the arms and legs — the calm figure collectors ask for by name. Where a palm lands on the arm, the oiled grain is satin, not the tack of a film finish.
Teak carries its own natural oils; a new chair smells faintly of wood, with nothing to off-gas even near a nursery. We hand-rub more into the carved frame, deepening the gold to a warm satin that never feels like plastic.
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with shrinkage about half that of oak, the mortised joints stay tight when winter's forced-air heat dries the room — the same dry air that loosens glued flat-pack chairs.
Indoors the gold holds and slowly deepens; outdoors teak would weather to a refined silver-grey, a surface change only. A light sanding and fresh oil bring the frame's gold back anytime.
Boards are matched by tone and grain across arms, back, and legs, and kiln-dried twenty days before a cut is made. Stock with twist, checks, or dull figure never makes the cut.
Each curve and cutout is traced from templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line, leaving material for the handwork.
Arms and transitions are sanded through successive grits until every edge feels right where a hand actually rests.
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks joints, stance, and finish before the chair leaves the workshop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.
