Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Handcrafted solid wood · Arch

The arch that frames the way in

The piece

An arch, drawn in solid teak.

An arch is the first thing a house says to a guest, so it should be made like it means it. This one is shaped from solid teak — the curve bent and joined from real boards, not a printed skin over foam — hand-picked by wood selectors with thirty years at the lumber stacks and kiln-dried for twenty days at a held temperature, so the sweep stays true and does not open a gap where two pieces meet.

It works as an entry statement, a soft room divider that splits a space without closing it, or a frame that gives a bare wall a reason to be looked at. Guests slow down at it, run a hand along the curve, and ask where it came from — which is the quiet answer to why a doorway deserves this much wood.

  • Solid teak curve — bent and joined from real boards, never veneer
  • Kiln-dried twenty days, so the arch holds its shape year-round
  • Works as an entry statement, a soft divider, or a wall frame
  • Anchors to studs; we send the hardware and a placement guide
  • Natural oil finish wipes clean and re-oils in ten minutes

It fits real homes.

The pause at the door

Friday, people arriving with wine and wet coats. Each one slows under the arch, looks up at the grain following the curve, and the evening starts a beat softer than it would have.

A wall without a wall

The open plan needed a line between the sitting side and the reading side. The archway drew it without a single stud — light and the dog both still pass straight through.

Morning light, curved

Seven a.m., low sun through the hall window. It rakes across the arched frame and lifts the grain out of the wood, and the plainest corner of the house becomes the one you photograph.

Teak, up close.

The grain

Honey and amber bands run the length of each plank. No two boards repeat, so your piece is the only one with this pattern.

The oils

Teak grows its own protective oils, and they carry the wood through dry winters and humid summers that crack lesser boards. Spills just need wiping up promptly.

The weight

Lift a corner and you feel dense, solid stock with no hollow frames or fillers. Kiln-dried before the build, it sits flat and stays put, even when the heat comes on.

The years ahead

Teak deepens toward a richer brown as it lives with you. A wipe of teak oil twice a year holds the tone you chose.

From plank to piece.

Select

Planks graded by practiced eyes, then kiln-dried slowly until they settle.

Mill

Each board cut, squared, and matched to the pattern.

Shape

Joined and eased with hand tools after the machines have done the rough work.

Finish

Sanded fine, then oiled until the grain reads deep.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

How does the arch mount to the wall?
It anchors into wall studs with the bracket set we include, and each piece ships with a placement guide. For a freestanding archway divider, the listing states the footing; email support@timbervintique.com with a photo of your space and we will confirm the fit before it ships.
What wood is the arch, and will the curve stay true?
Solid teak throughout — chosen board by board by selectors with thirty years at the lumber stacks, then kiln-dried for twenty days at a controlled temperature so the moisture leaves slowly and the wood is done moving before it is shaped. That is why the curve holds and the joints do not open through a heated winter.
Can I order a custom size or opening width?
Yes. Every arch is made to order and dimensions vary by piece, so send us the opening or wall you are working with and we will build it to fit. Tell us your measurements and we will confirm before we cut.
How do I care for it?
Dust it like any wood piece and wipe spills as they happen. The natural oil finish re-oils in about ten minutes with a soft cloth once or twice a year — no lacquer to chip, no refinishing crew.
