Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Coffee table

The table the lake house keeps

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

A live edge that brings the outdoors in to stay.

The form borrows from driftwood — clean lines meeting a natural edge left exactly as the tree grew it. Each board is chosen for its figure, kiln-dried through three slow weeks so the moisture is out before the first cut, then shaped by hand and finished in layers of natural wax and oil.

A seasonal house is the hardest room in America for furniture — heat off in October, bone-dry cold until May, then humid summer. Wood dried until the moisture meter says done arrives already at equilibrium, so the table you close the door on is the table you find in spring — the piece the whole house is remembered by.

  • Anchors cabins, lake houses, and coastal rooms
  • Wax-and-oil finish handles mugs, mittens, and games
  • A live edge no two tables share
  • Rides the seasonal shutdown without checking or warping
  • Solid enough to move house to house

It fits real homes.

October, heat off

October, heat off

They drain the pipes, lock the door, and leave the table to a winter of forty degrees and dry air. In May it is exactly where and exactly how they left it.

Cocoa after sledding

Cocoa after sledding

Boots at the door, snow melting off hats, four mugs steaming on the live edge. The waxed top takes the wet rings and the elbows and asks for a wipe, nothing more.

Cards past midnight

Cards past midnight

The lake goes dark, the cards come out, and the same four people argue the same house rules as last August. The table has hosted every round since the place was furnished.

Every piece is made to order, and dimensions vary from one to the next. Need a different size for your space? Tell us your measurements and we'll build it to fit.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, even grain runs the top's length until it breaks into the wild line of the live edge — and when the cabin windows open in June, the wood smells faintly of the shop again.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Layers of wax and natural oil are worked in by hand over teak's own oils, deepening the tone to a soft satin that sheds the ring a wet mug leaves behind.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with among the lowest shrinkage of the hardwoods, the top rides the swing from a 40-degree winter shutdown to humid July without opening a check.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Full outdoor sun and rain would silver teak within a year; inside a bright cabin it just deepens toward honey. A light sanding and fresh wax reset the tone any off-season.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Boards are pulled one at a time and judged by the run of their natural edge — thirty-year selectors pass over twist, checks, and dull figure.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The top is worked flat while the live edge is kept — cut slightly proud, leaving material for the handwork that resolves the natural line.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Flat faces and the wild edge are sanded by hand through five grits until worked and natural surfaces read as one piece under a palm.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Wax and oil go on in thin layers, buffed between each. The maker checks level, runs a hand down the edge for roughness, and signs it out.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Is the tabletop really solid wood?
Solid wood through the full thickness of the top — no veneer to bubble when the humidity swings, which matters in a house that sits closed half the year. Teak's own oils handle the sweating glasses on top of that.
Can I adjust the size or height?
Each table is built after you order, so length, height, and shape can be adjusted. Give us the sofa it faces and the room's traffic path; two inches lower for a deep seat is a common ask.
How much assembly is required?
Most designs arrive fully assembled; a few ship with legs off to protect them in transit. Those bolt on in minutes with the included key — no lost weekend at the cabin.
How do I care for the top?
This table wears a natural wax-and-oil finish: wipe spills when you see them, dry the surface, and refresh the wax or oil once or twice a year — the fall close-up and spring opening are the natural moments to do it.
How are coffee tables delivered?
Coffee tables are made to order, wrapped, corner-blocked, and crated when size demands. Tracking arrives at dispatch, and freight deliveries are scheduled in advance — useful when the destination is a seasonal address.
