These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Each chandelier begins as one natural log, chosen for its sweep and bark character, then dried slowly at controlled temperature until the moisture meter says done — a log that will not hold its line never becomes a fixture. The mounting faces are dressed by hand; everywhere that shows keeps the tree, and every Edison bulb hangs at a deliberate height.

Most dining fixtures come out of the same catalog as everyone else's, and their light lands cold. This one drops a ring of amber exactly where the plates sit, dims to a glow if you wire it that way, and no second log on earth repeats the sweep of yours. Dinners run longer under it — the table keeps the whole evening.

Beneath the bark, tight, straight teak grain runs the length of the log. Where the maker dressed the mounting faces you can see it — calm figure under a rough coat.

The finish nature applied

Teak's own oils, hand-rubbed into the dressed faces. At night the filament light plays across the oiled grain; on delivery day the log still smells faintly of the shop it left.

Density you can feel

Roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, dried until the moisture meter says done — the log hangs straight through wood-stove winters and the humid shut-up summers of a cabin.

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors the tone only deepens toward amber over years of dinners. If you ever want the first-day gold back, a light sanding of the dressed faces and fresh oil restore it.

The wood selection

Logs are chosen one at a time for sweep, sound structure, and bark worth keeping, then dried slowly at controlled temperature. A log that will not dry straight never becomes a fixture.

The shaping process

Bulb positions are laid out along the log's natural line with a story stick, then the mounting faces are dressed — the raw texture stays everywhere it shows.

The hand refinement

Handled surfaces are sanded smooth by hand while the bark and figure stay untouched, so the piece feels finished without losing the tree.

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. Every socket is wired, every bulb burned in, and the hanging points load-tested before the fixture leaves the workshop.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

How does the chandelier hang?

It hangs from a ceiling canopy over a standard junction box, and the chain can be shortened at installation so the ring of Edison bulbs sits right above the table. All the mounting hardware for your piece is included, and the fixture arrives ready to hang, not as a bag of parts.

Is it hardwired or plug-in, and who should install it?

The listing states which, and it is confirmed before shipping; either way the wiring follows US standards. Because a chandelier connects overhead, a licensed electrician is the safe way to wire a hardwired fixture into the ceiling circuit — most owners put it on a dimmer so the light drops to a glow for the long dinners.

What bulb does it take?

It arrives fully wired with its Edison bulbs included. If you prefer, a warm LED of the same shape drops straight in and runs cool, which keeps the heat off the wood around each socket.

Will the log dry out or warp near the bulbs?

No. The log is hand-picked by wood selectors with thirty years at the lumber stacks, then kiln-dried for twenty days at a controlled temperature — long enough to drive the moisture out and settle any insects the bark carried. It has finished moving before a single socket is cut, so it hangs straight through wood-stove winters, and a cool LED keeps the warmth off the grain.

How does it ship?

Made to order and packed in a foam-fitted box, with the Edison bulbs boxed separately and the chain secured so nothing shifts in transit. Tracking is sent the day it leaves the workshop; photograph the carton before the driver goes if anything looks crushed, and if damage slips through we make it right.
