These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly
Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Shipping & returns
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
The seat the garden was missing.
Seat and backrest are carved from a single slab of solid teak, its live edges left where the tree drew them. The slab is kiln-dried for twenty days before carving — the swing between rain and sun is exactly what half-dried wood cannot survive — and every surface is sanded smooth enough for bare summer legs.
Outdoor teak hands you a decision most furniture never offers: leave it bare and it silvers to an even driftwood gray within about a year, or keep it golden with a spring cleaning and sealer. The gray is a paper-thin surface layer — a light sanding brings the gold back — so whichever way you choose, you can always change your mind.

Teak, up close.
Grain that reads quiet
The grain runs unbroken from seat to backrest — one slab, one figure — and after a rain the wet grain darkens for an hour, then dries back to itself.
The finish nature applied
Teak's own oils and silica are boat-deck chemistry — the reason it can live outside at all. We hand-rub oil into the seat; it sheds rain, dries fast, and never splinters when wet.
Density you can feel
Teak runs near 700 kilograms per cubic meter and moves about half as much as oak, so the slab seat stays flat and sound through rain, July sun, and hard frost — the full outdoor calendar.
Golden now, silver whenever
In full sun and rain, the seat silvers evenly in six to twelve months — a surface change thinner than paper. A light sanding any spring brings the gold back; both looks are the same bench.
From plank to piece.
The wood selection
A single broad slab is chosen for soundness and figure, with live edges worth keeping — tapped and sighted for hidden checks before a tool touches it.
The shaping process
Seat and backrest are carved from the slab slightly proud of the line, while the arched legs are shaped for a planted stance on uneven ground.
The hand refinement
Seat, backrest, and edges pass through five grits of sandpaper by hand until the surface welcomes bare skin on a summer afternoon.
The final inspection
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker rocks the bench on a flat floor, checks stance and finish, and signs it out of the workshop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

Questions customers usually ask
How do these handle full outdoor exposure?
Built from plantation-grown teak — the only new teak legally sold in the US since Burmese stock was sanctioned — and made for full exposure. The wood's own oils and silica do the protecting; that is the same chemistry ship decks have trusted for centuries.
What sizes are available?
Lengths are made to order. A 48-inch bench seats two comfortably on a porch; 72 inches handles the whole family along a fire pit. Custom depths are available.
Does it need assembly or anchoring?
Most benches arrive fully assembled with stainless-steel fasteners throughout — named because outdoors the hardware corrodes long before teak complains. Rated conservatively past 500 pounds, it sits on grass, pavers, or deck boards without anchoring.
What outdoor care is required?
Hose off pollen each spring with mild soap. Left bare, the teak silvers evenly — a reversible surface change. If you prefer gold, clean and apply a teak sealer each spring; skip hardware-store 'teak oil', which contains no teak oil and can feed mildew outdoors.
How are outdoor benches shipped?
Made to order, boxed or crated by length, hardware pre-installed. Tracking is provided and freight-size pieces are scheduled with you — photograph the crate before the driver leaves, and anything the road did wrong, we make right.
Is the seat really one slab?
Yes — seat and backrest are carved from a single slab of teak, so the grain runs unbroken from where you sit to where you lean. The arched legs are fitted beneath for a steady, planted stance.
