Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Handcrafted solid wood · Jewelry tray

The jewelry tray that ends the searching

The piece

Built for the day's last thirty seconds.

Every day ends the same way — watch off, rings down, earrings out — and too many mornings start with finding them again. The tray gives that ritual a fixed address: a hand-carved well for each habit, shaped so posts do not roll and chains do not wander, sanded through five grits until the hollows feel like river stone.

On the bathroom counter it becomes the one square foot of the house that is always in order. The mechanism is simple and it holds for years: things set down by feel in the dark are exactly there at seven the next morning — no drawer opened, no coat pockets searched.

  • Keeps rings safe beside the kitchen or bath sink
  • Holds the nightly watch-and-rings ritual
  • Sorts earrings so pairs stay pairs
  • Corrals necklaces before they tangle
  • Stages tomorrow's jewelry the night before

It fits real homes.

Rings off, hands in

Bread dough on a Sunday afternoon, so the rings come off first — into the well by the sink, same spot as always. An hour later, flour everywhere, they are exactly where they were left.

The unclasping

Last act of the day, standing at the dresser: earrings out, necklace unclasped, watch set down. Three soft clicks of metal on wood, and the day is formally over.

Tuesday's earrings

Seven-fifteen, coffee half gone, and the day's earrings get chosen from the tray in about four seconds — because for once, both of every pair are sitting right there together.

Teak, up close.

The grain

Honey and amber bands run the length of each plank. No two boards repeat, so your piece is the only one with this pattern.

The oils

Teak grows its own protective oils, and they carry the wood through dry winters and humid summers that crack lesser boards. Spills just need wiping up promptly.

The weight

Lift a corner and you feel dense, solid stock with no hollow frames or fillers. Kiln-dried before the build, it sits flat and stays put, even when the heat comes on.

The years ahead

Teak deepens toward a richer brown as it lives with you. A wipe of teak oil twice a year holds the tone you chose.

From plank to piece.

Select

Planks graded by practiced eyes, then kiln-dried slowly until they settle.

Mill

Each board cut, squared, and matched to the pattern.

Shape

Joined and eased with hand tools after the machines have done the rough work.

Finish

Sanded fine, then oiled until the grain reads deep.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Is it really safe next to a sink, or will water ruin it?
Teak is the wood commercial spas and steam rooms run on — environments far wetter than a bathroom counter — thanks to its own oils and silica. Your job is small: wipe the tray dry when you wipe the counter, and never let it sit in standing water. If dark spots ever appear, that is soap residue feeding mildew on the surface, not the wood failing — a rinse and a soft scrub clears it.
Will the wood scratch plated or soft-metal jewelry?
No. Each well is hand-sanded through five grits to a surface far softer than any metal or stone, and the oil finish leaves no hard lacquer edge for a clasp or post to catch. Gold, plate, and pearls rest gentler here than on a ceramic dish or a tile counter — and if a well ever dulls, a drop of oil rubbed in by hand brings it back.
