Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Where the table overflows to

The piece

Built for the long table nights.

This case was planned around a loaded Thanksgiving: platters at serving height, drawers that open with one finger while the other hand carries the gravy, a top flat enough to trust with the turkey. The grain is matched across every front, and the whole piece takes five grits of sanding before the hand-rubbed oil goes on.

In the dining room it works two shifts — quiet storage all week, command center when the table fills. The buffet line forms along it the same way every November, and years of holidays get staged from this one surface without it ever asking anything back.

  • Serving-height top staged for buffet dinners and party bars
  • Cabinets hold platters, chargers, and the good dishes
  • Drawers keep linens, candles, and serving pieces sorted
  • Shelves leveled to carry full stacks of ceramic
  • Oiled top wipes clean after wine and gravy nights

It fits real homes.

The Buffet Line

Thanksgiving, sixteen people, not enough table. The sideboard takes the turkey, both stuffings, and the pie lineup, and the family files past plate by plate — the same route as last year.

December 26th

December 26th, after the third party in two weeks. The top has been the bar since the twelfth. Punch-bowl rings wipe off the oiled teak with one pass, and the house goes quiet until New Year's.

The Linen Drawer

Your grandmother's tablecloth lives in the second drawer, tissue-wrapped, waiting for the two dinners a year that earn it. Opening that drawer is the start of every real occasion.

Made to order

Every piece is made to order, and dimensions vary from one to the next. Need a different size for your space? Tell us your measurements and we'll build it to fit.

Teak, up close.

The grain

Honey and amber bands run the length of each plank. No two boards repeat, so your piece is the only one with this pattern.

The oils

Teak grows its own protective oils, and they carry the wood through dry winters and humid summers that crack lesser boards. Spills just need wiping up promptly.

The weight

Lift a corner and you feel dense, solid stock with no hollow frames or fillers. Kiln-dried before the build, it sits flat and stays put, even when the heat comes on.

The years ahead

Teak deepens toward a richer brown as it lives with you. A wipe of teak oil twice a year holds the tone you chose.

From plank to piece.

Select

Planks graded by practiced eyes, then kiln-dried slowly until they settle.

Mill

Each board cut, squared, and matched to the pattern.

Shape

Joined and eased with hand tools after the machines have done the rough work.

Finish

Sanded fine, then oiled until the grain reads deep.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

How is a sideboard built here?
Sideboards in this collection are full solid-wood casework — tops, doors, and shelves — with doors fitted by hand at the workshop so they close with a soft, even gap.
Can the interior be laid out for my use?
Each sideboard is made to order: length, interior layout, and leg height all adjust. Wine storage, plate racks, and cable openings for a media wall are common additions.
What happens at delivery?
Sideboards arrive fully assembled — doors hung, shelves in. Two people should carry it; once placed, the adjustable levelers square the doors on an uneven floor in minutes.
How do I care for the top and doors?
Wipe the top after serving, use trivets under hot dishes, and oil once or twice a year. Door hinges are adjustable if the seasons ever shift the reveal.
How does a sideboard travel?
Every sideboard is made to order and travels freight in a fitted crate with the interior braced. We send tracking and schedule the delivery window with you.
How much weight can the top and shelves take?
The top is solid boards over a joined case — a fully loaded buffet, a television, or a stone lamp is routine duty, not a limit. Interior shelves are leveled against the real weight of stacked dinnerware; keep the heaviest platters lowest. Each listing states the piece's own weight in pounds, and it is worth reading — the number tells you what the case is made of.
What size sideboard fits my dining room?
Leave about 36 inches of walkway between the sideboard and the table edge, and aim for a length around two-thirds of the wall it sits on. Tape the footprint on the floor before ordering — it settles the question in two minutes — and measure the narrowest doorway on the delivery path. Where a listing allows, made-to-order builds can adjust dimensions to the wall you have.
