Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Cat tree tower

A real tree for a real climber

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

Cat furniture that belongs in the living room.

Eighty inches of solid teak, shaped like the tree it once was. A selector with thirty years picks aged trunk stock for branch geometry a cat will actually use, and twenty days in a controlled kiln dry it through — heat enough to kill any insect or egg, no sprays. Each platform is set on a natural climbing line, then every limb rounded and sanded until nothing catches a paw.

Most cat towers are carpet-wrapped cardboard you shove in a closet before company comes. This one stands where the good furniture stands, because it is good furniture. The cat gets height and lookout perches; claw marks that land sand out and re-oil in ten minutes, so the tree renews instead of wearing out and hitting the curb.

  • Eighty inches of vertical territory and lookout perches
  • Branch platforms double as plant and book shelves
  • Reads as sculpture, works as cat furniture
  • Sanded limbs — safe for paws, sweaters, and toddlers
  • Claw marks sand out; the tower renews with oil

It fits real homes.

The sunrise post

The sunrise post

Every morning, same branch: the top perch by the window, tail curled, supervising the street below. Afternoon sun warms that corner and the cat claims it; the tower holds the vigil without a wobble.

The guest reveal

The guest reveal

Friends circle it at a housewarming, guessing sculpture, then bookshelf — until the cat flows up three branches and settles in, ending the debate. Then the question you knew was coming: where did you get that.

The five o'clock leap

The five o'clock leap

Keys in the door at five, and a grey blur crosses the room and takes the trunk at full speed. Eighty inches of teak absorbs the running leap like the branch grew there, and nothing shifts on the wall.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight, even grain runs up the trunk and along every branch shelf — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name, warm underfoot for a cat that sprawls in the sun.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub a pet-safe finish into the limbs and perches, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin that arrives smelling like wood, not chemicals a cat would refuse.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the trunk plants itself under a running leap and stays planted through a dry-heated winter.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors, teak deepens toward honey rather than graying. A light sanding and fresh oil erase claw marks and bring back the gold anytime — the tower renews instead of wearing out.

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Selectors with thirty years at the stacks pull aged teak trunks one at a time for branch lines a cat can climb, then dry them twenty days in a controlled kiln — heat that ends any insect or egg. Twisted, checked, or dull stock never makes the cut.

The shaping process

The shaping process

Branches and platforms are cut slightly proud of their lines, placed along a natural climbing path — material reserved for the final handwork.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Every limb, edge, and perch is sanded through successive grits until nothing anywhere on the tower can catch a paw.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Pet-safe oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker load-tests every platform before the tower leaves the workshop.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

What makes these different from carpeted cat trees?
Each tower is a real branching trunk or solid-wood build, sanded smooth and finished with pet-safe oil — furniture your cat climbs, not carpet-wrapped cardboard you hide when guests arrive. It can be re-oiled for years instead of tossed.
How stable are they for large cats?
Very. A wide, weighted base and solid limbs keep the tower planted under a running leap from across the room. For enthusiastic climbers we include a wall strap; teak's density means the limbs take the load without flexing.
Is there assembly involved?
Most towers arrive in two or three sections that bolt together in under twenty minutes, platforms pre-attached. You fasten the sections, position the weighted base, and strap it to a stud if your climber is ambitious.
What about claw marks and cleaning?
Vacuum the platforms and wipe the wood with a dry or barely damp cloth. Claw marks are part of the story; when you want them gone, a light sanding and a wipe of oil erase them in ten minutes — try that with carpet.
How do the towers ship?
Towers are made to order and packed in sectioned, padded cartons with hardware bagged inside the base. Photograph the cartons on arrival and note any damage; tracking follows by email the day your order leaves the workshop.
How much room does this tower need?
Plan for the full footprint: this build stands 80 inches tall with branches spreading to about 80 inches at the widest reach. A corner with a window view suits it best — cats use the height most when there is something to watch.
