These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Shipping & returns
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

One honest note: it ships in sections and bolts together in twenty minutes — carved teak this size cannot travel whole.
The doubt about a wooden lounge chair is always comfort. So the seat is scooped, the back reclines past a right angle, and the armrests land where elbows actually rest — most owners sit it bare, no cushion. It looks like gallery work standing empty, and you catch yourself reading in it until midnight anyway.

Grain that reads quiet
Tight, straight grain flows along the seat and up the backrest without a break at the joins. In morning light the figure follows the recline like contour lines — the calm figure collectors ask for by name.
The finish nature applied
Teak carries its own natural oils; we hand-rub more into the seat and armrests until the surface welcomes bare skin — warm on a January morning in a way lacquer never is, and smelling of wood, not chemicals, on arrival.
Density you can feel
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with shrinkage about half that of oak, the carved form stays solid and silent under years of daily sitting — twenty days in a temperature-controlled kiln means no joint loosens when the furnace runs.
Golden now, silver whenever
Indoors this chair will not silver — the seat deepens toward honey where hands and sun touch it most, a record of use, not wear. A light sanding and fresh oil reset it to year-one gold anytime.
From plank to piece.
The wood selection
Solid blocks are pulled at the lumber stacks and matched by tone and grain before joining. Stock with twist or checks never becomes a seat.
The shaping process
The flowing silhouette is traced from workshop templates, then cut slightly proud of the line — material left for carving the recline by hand.
The hand refinement
Seat, back, and armrests are sanded through five grits until every surface feels right against skin, not just a palm.
The final inspection
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker sits, rocks, and listens for silence before sign-out.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

- Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
- Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
- Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

How are the chairs built to last?
Every chair in this collection is solid hardwood with mortise-and-tenon joinery at the stress points — the seat-to-leg and back-to-seat joints that decide whether a chair lasts five years or fifty. No hanger bolts, nothing to retighten monthly.
Can seat height or finish be customized?
Seat height and finish tone can be tailored when you order, because the chair is built after you buy it. If your table runs tall or low, tell us its height and we will match the chairs to a comfortable clearance.
Does this lounge chair require assembly?
Yes — this design is carved from solid wood blocks and ships separated into sections to travel safely. The parts bolt together with the included hardware in about twenty minutes; every joint was fitted at the workshop first, so nothing needs forcing.
What upkeep does a wooden chair need?
Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry. Check that floor glides stay snug, keep the chair a couple of feet from a heat vent in winter, and refresh the oil on arms and seat edges yearly — that is where hands rest most, and it takes ten minutes.
How are chairs and sets shipped?
Each chair is made to order, wrapped at every edge, and double-boxed. Pairs and sets ship together where possible, tracking is sent at dispatch, and if transit does damage, we make it right.
Is a carved wooden seat actually comfortable without a cushion?
The seat is scooped and the back reclined to hold a body, not a right angle — most owners use it bare. A small cushion or sheepskin suits longer reading sessions, and the wide seat leaves room for one.
