Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly
Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Shipping & returns
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Fluid curves carry open teak shelves up a freestanding frame, so books and objects sit inside a moving line instead of a grid. Each curve was weighted against real shelf loads; the maker fairs every transition by hand, and the fixed shelves are joined straight into the sides — the construction that keeps long spans from sagging.
Flat-pack bookcases are engineered around a five-year life — the shelves bow first, then the back panel lets go. This one arrives as a finished piece of furniture, no cam locks, no wordless diagrams, no lost Saturday, and its fixed joints carry full hardcover rows for decades. The books look better for living somewhere permanent, and so does the reader.

Grain that reads quiet
Tight, straight grain follows each curved shelf face — and afternoon light sliding along the sweep shows the figure in motion, something a straight bookcase never does.
The finish nature applied
Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more into the shelves and frame — a warm satin your hand crosses every time a book comes down or goes back.
Density you can feel
Roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with about half oak's seasonal movement — full rows of hardcovers ride flat through furnace winters, no bow creeping into the spans.
Golden now, silver whenever
Indoors the frame deepens from honey toward caramel over the first year — silvering needs outdoor rain and sun. Rotate sun-facing decor occasionally and the tone stays even.
From plank to piece.
The wood selection
Boards are matched so grain runs continuously through the curved frame, then kiln-dried twenty days before the first cut. Twisted or dull stock never makes it.
The shaping process
Each curve is traced from templates and bandsawn slightly proud of the line, leaving material for the fairing that joins shelf to frame.
The hand refinement
Transitions between curves are sanded by hand through five grits until a finger can travel the whole form without finding a seam.
The final inspection
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks stance and shelf level before the bookshelf leaves the workshop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

- Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
- Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
- Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

White-glove option
Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.
Crated for freight
Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.
Scheduled window
You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.
Honest returns
30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.
Questions customers usually ask
How are the bookshelves constructed?
Solid teak from shelf to frame — no particleboard panel hiding behind a wood-look skin. Fixed shelves are joined directly into the sides, the construction that keeps long spans from sagging under a full row of hardcovers year after year.
Can dimensions be adjusted to my wall?
Yes — height, width, and shelf spacing can be adjusted when you order. Measure your wall and ceiling first, and measure the narrowest doorway on the route in; we regularly build around baseboards, sloped ceilings, and awkward alcoves.
Should a bookshelf be anchored to the wall?
Taller bookshelves include an anti-tip strap and wall anchor, and we recommend using it, especially with children in the house. The strap installs into one stud in a few minutes.
What care do loaded shelves need?
Dust with a dry cloth, rotate sun-exposed decor occasionally so the wood tones evenly, and keep the piece a couple of feet from heat vents in winter. One annual coat of oil — a rag and twenty minutes — keeps edges and faces rich.
How does a bookshelf arrive?
Made to order and shipped crated, standing on a padded base with the back protected. Large pieces are delivered by appointment; photograph the crate before the driver leaves and note anything on the receipt — if transit damage happens, we make it right.
Do books sit securely on curved shelves?
Yes. The shelf surfaces themselves are level — the curves live in the frame and the sweep between levels, not under the books. Rows stand as steadily here as on any straight bookcase, with the curve doing the visual work around them.
