Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Handcrafted solid wood · Outdoor bench

The best seat outside the house

The piece

Silver or golden — your bench, your call.

Left in full sun and rain, teak weathers to an even silver-gray in about a year. That layer is paper-thin: a light sanding brings the gold back any spring you choose. Both looks are healthy wood — the silver is a finish, not a failure — so the patina question becomes a preference, not a worry.

One honest warning from people who watch furniture age: a covered porch grays patchily, so commit — full exposure for the even silver, or a coat of teak sealer each spring to hold the honey tone. Skip hardware-store 'teak oil' outside; it feeds mildew and starts a maintenance treadmill this outdoor bench was built to spare you.

  • Morning coffee seat before the house wakes
  • Boot-lacing bench at the back door, rain or shine
  • Overflow seating when the cookout outgrows the table
  • Front-porch perch for waving the school bus off
  • Reading spot that follows the afternoon shade

It fits real homes.

First coffee outside

Six-forty, the street still dark, the mug set on the seat beside you. The wood is not cold the way metal would be in April. Ten minutes on the outdoor bench and the day starts on your terms.

Graduation open house

A Saturday in May, eighty guests over three hours. The backyard bench holds grandparents, then cousins, then the guest-book line for photos. By evening it has been in half the pictures without posing once.

Lake house shutdown

October, pipes drained, heat off until May. The bench stays on the porch through a winter of forty degrees and bone-dry air, and in spring it is exactly where and exactly how they left it.

Teak, up close.

The grain

Honey and amber bands run the length of each plank. No two boards repeat, so your piece is the only one with this pattern.

The oils

Teak grows its own protective oils, and they carry the wood through dry winters and humid summers that crack lesser boards. Spills just need wiping up promptly.

The weight

Lift a corner and you feel dense, solid stock with no hollow frames or fillers. Kiln-dried before the build, it sits flat and stays put, even when the heat comes on.

The years ahead

Teak deepens toward a richer brown as it lives with you. A wipe of teak oil twice a year holds the tone you chose.

From plank to piece.

Select

Planks graded by practiced eyes, then kiln-dried slowly until they settle.

Mill

Each board cut, squared, and matched to the pattern.

Shape

Joined and eased with hand tools after the machines have done the rough work.

Finish

Sanded fine, then oiled until the grain reads deep.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

How do these handle full outdoor exposure?
Built from plantation-grown teak, the benches in this collection are made for full exposure — sun, rain, and snow — because teak's natural oils and silica do the protecting themselves.
What sizes are available?
Lengths are made to order. A 48-inch bench seats two comfortably on a porch; 72 inches handles the whole family along a fire pit. Custom depths are available.
Does it need assembly or anchoring?
Most benches arrive fully assembled with stainless-steel fasteners throughout. Rated conservatively past 500 pounds, they can sit on grass, pavers, or deck boards without any anchoring.
What outdoor care is required?
Hose off pollen and dirt each spring with mild soap. Left bare, the teak silvers gracefully; re-oil if you prefer gold. Neither choice affects the bench's strength.
How are outdoor benches shipped?
Outdoor benches ship made to order, boxed or crated by length, with hardware pre-installed. Tracking is provided, and freight-size pieces are scheduled with you before delivery.
Can it really stay outside all year — Minnesota winters, Gulf summers?
Yes, and the reason is mechanism, not marketing: teak's own oils and silica shed water, the boards were kiln-dried for twenty days so freeze-and-thaw finds nothing left to move, and unsealed teak silvers rather than rots. Keep the feet out of standing water and choose your look — let it silver, or hold the gold with a coat of teak sealer each spring.
Do I have to oil it? Every website says something different.
You do not — and the disagreement comes from a naming trick: hardware-store 'teak oil' contains no oil from teak, needs redoing every month or two outdoors, and can feed mildew and black spots. Either leave the bench alone and let it silver, or apply teak sealer once each spring. Cleaning is mild soap and warm water. Teak protects itself; your job is small.
