Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Side table

The side table that shrugs off water rings

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

One continuous curve from tabletop to floor.

The designers worked the profile until top and base read as a single gesture, an open lower sweep keeping the form light beside a sofa arm. An artisan selects one teak board for the top — solid through, nothing to sand through — shapes the transitions by hand, and oils it to a quiet satin. Every board is kiln-dried twenty days first, so the small top never cups by a sunny window.

The pain a side table answers is the ring — the sweating glass that ghosts a lacquered top for good. Oiled teak takes the same glass and wipes clean, and a white ring that does form lifts with a cloth and a warm dry iron in thirty seconds. Ten years of drinks in, it is still the piece you are quietly proud of.

  • Where does the drink go? Holds lamp, glass, and open book
  • Won't snag the rug — open base clears sofa feet and edges
  • Small apartment? Compact footprint tucks into a tight corner
  • Sweating glass wipes clean off the oiled top, no ring
  • Light enough to move, planted enough to stay put

It fits real homes.

The four o'clock chapter

The four o'clock chapter

Sunday, 4 pm, lamp at 2700K, one hour and no phone. Tea and the book land on the teak at exactly the height of the chair's arm — the detail nobody plans and everybody feels.

Movie-night landing pad

Movie-night landing pad

Friday, lights down, February rain on the glass. Remote, popcorn bowl, two phones face-down — everything the couch crowd needs lands within reach, and the sculpted base curves away from feet so nobody kicks it.

The cat's corner

The cat's corner

The afternoon sun lands on this top, so the cat claimed it two winters ago. The claw taps show only sideways in raking light; one weekend re-oil resets the surface. The cat keeps the spot.

Made to order

Every piece is made to order, and dimensions vary from one to the next. Need a different size for your space? Tell us your measurements and we'll build it to fit.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight, even grain runs across the small top and down the curved base. Run a thumb over the edge and the transition reads as one warm surface — the calm figure collectors ask for by name.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils; we hand-rub more into the top and base until it holds a low sheen under lamplight. It arrives smelling of wood and faint leather, not chemicals — there is no lacquer film to off-gas.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with shrinkage about half that of oak, the top stays flat beside daily seating — and twenty days in a temperature-controlled kiln means it holds that line even set by a west window in a dry-heat winter.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors this table will not silver — that takes outdoor sun and rain. It slowly deepens toward caramel, fastest by a bright window, and a light sanding with fresh oil brings back year-one gold whenever you choose.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Boards are pulled one at a time at the lumber stacks so top and base share tone and grain. Twisted or dull stock never becomes a table.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The flowing profile is traced from workshop templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line — material left for the handwork on the transitions.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

The lip and base sweep are sanded through five grits of paper until every curve feels right against an open palm.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks level and wobble on a flat bench before sign-out.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

How are these small tables built?
Solid wood top to leg — tap it anywhere and it never sounds hollow. Small pieces, but built with the same joinery as our dining tables, because side tables get leaned on, sat on, and moved constantly.
Can the height be matched to my sofa?
Yes — heights are made to order, which matters most here. Send us your sofa's arm height and we will build the table two inches under it, or level, as you prefer.
Is any assembly needed?
End and side tables ship fully assembled in almost every design. The exceptions arrive with a single bolt-on base and take five minutes with the included key.
How do I keep the finish even?
Wipe with a slightly damp cloth and dry. If a sweating glass leaves a white ring, a cloth under a warm dry iron lifts it in about thirty seconds. Re-oil once a year — more often for tables by sunny windows, where the tone deepens fastest.
How do they ship?
Each table is made to order, wrapped, and double-boxed with corner protection. Tracking is emailed at dispatch — most side tables travel by standard parcel carrier.
How much surface does the sculpted top actually give me?
The top is sized for real use, not just display — a lamp and a mug, or a book and a glass, sit together comfortably. Because each table is built to order, we can widen the top an inch or two if it will carry more.
