These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
Soft, organic curves flow through the frame, forming open compartments that hold books the way a riverbank holds a bend of water. Designers set the balance point of every arc; the makers carve it from solid teak and fair each transition by hand. There is no bent plywood and no veneer edge to lift, which is why these curves sand and re-oil for decades instead of chipping to sawdust.
The flat-pack bookcase sags within a year and stays only because moving it means emptying it first. This is the correction: rigid carved frames that carry full rows of hardcovers without a bow, teak dried twenty days in a controlled kiln so nothing racks when January heat dries the room, and a shape the family keeps rearranging on purpose.
The picture books live in the lowest curve on purpose. Every night around 7:30 a small hand reaches in, pulls three, and negotiates down to one on the walk to the sofa. That low shelf sits at exactly toddler height, a thing nobody planned and everybody uses.
Saturday, just after nine, a week of half-read books goes home compartment by compartment while the coffee cools. Ten minutes of putting things away that feels closer to arranging flowers, and the curved openings make even a mismatched stack look composed.
A guest stops at the shelf mid-party, you pull the novel you have been pushing on everyone all month, and it changes hands right there by the curve it lived in. A good shelf starts more conversations than the coffee table does.

Tight, straight, even grain rides each curved compartment wall without breaking across the arc — the calm figure that made teak the wood mid-century collectors ask for by name. In low evening lamplight the curves show it in soft relief.
Teak carries its own natural oils; we hand-rub more into every shelf face and carved transition. The golden tone deepens to a warm satin that never reads plastic, and for the first week owners notice the faint woodshop smell rather than any chemical one.
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, the carved spans stay rigid under full rows of hardcovers. The boards spend twenty days in a temperature-controlled kiln before shaping, so the frame holds true when winter heat drops the room into the humidity twenties.
Indoors teak deepens toward honey-amber over the years; the silver-grey patina takes outdoor sun and rain, not a living room wall. If a bright window lightens one arc, a light sanding and fresh oil even the tone in an afternoon.
Boards are pulled one at a time by selectors with thirty years at the lumber stacks, matched by tone through the flowing frame. Twisted or dull stock never makes the cut.
Each organic curve is traced from workshop templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line — the spare sixteenth of an inch left for the carving that sets its final profile.
Compartment walls and edges are sanded through five grits until a hand rides every arc end to end without a catch.
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker loads test weight into the curves, checks joints and level on a flat bench, and rakes a lamp across the faces before the shelf is signed out.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.
