Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
The wave pattern is carved into the front panels by hand, each pass following a drawn rhythm so the ridges flow unbroken across the full face. Underneath is straightforward solid-teak casework — boards kiln-dried twenty days so the doors hung at the bench keep their even gap when the furnace comes on. The oil finish asks for a fresh coat once a year.
Most carved-look buffets are a pattern pressed into a veneer skin; chip one corner and the particleboard shows. This front is cut into the teak itself, deep enough to throw real shadow down the length of a dinner. It works the holidays as the serving line, holds the linens the rest of the year, and stays the room's best surface after the plates clear.
The Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, the top gets cleared for duty. By two o'clock Thursday, serving dishes stand shoulder to shoulder down its length while the table takes the plates — once a year, the sideboard earns its whole span in one afternoon.
Six weeks after the wedding, the registry china finally leaves its boxes. Table linens fold onto one shelf, candlesticks and board games stack on the next, and the carved doors swing shut over the household's supporting cast.
A snowed-in Saturday in February, dinner running long. The candle flames keep finding the ridges, moving shadow across the waves between courses — the best seat in the room faces the sideboard, though nobody says so.

Tight, straight, even grain runs beneath the carved waves — calm figure that lets the pattern, not the wood, carry the movement, and reads deepest in low evening light.
Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more into the top and every carved ridge — run a palm across the waves and the surface reads warm satin, never the cold tack of lacquer.
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter and kiln-dried across twenty slow days, the case stays square and the doors keep their even gap from furnace January to open-window July.
Indoors the carved front only deepens toward amber — silver-grey takes outdoor sun and rain. If serving years dull the top, a light sanding and ten minutes of oil bring back the gold.
Boards are pulled one at a time by selectors with thirty years at the stacks, matched by tone across top, sides, and doors before a single cut.
The wave rhythm is drawn full-size across the front panels, then carved slightly proud of the line so the ridges flow door to door without a break at the gap.
Every ridge and hollow is sanded by hand through five grits until a palm can ride the waves end to end without catching once.
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker cycles both doors, sets a straightedge across the top, and signs the sideboard out of the shop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.
