These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Shipping & returns
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
One chair, shaped until sitting became staying.
A sculpted teak frame — rounded arms, low grounded stance — holding two deep cushions. The designer studied how a body settles: arms wide enough to wrap without closing in, a profile low enough to keep sightlines open across the room. Each frame is shaped from boards kiln-dried for twenty days, then sanded and oiled by hand, grain visible everywhere the wood shows.
A chair is usually the first piece in a house to work loose — armrests that click, joints that rack by year two. This one is mortise-and-tenon at every stress point, glued and cured before it ships, so it lands as one solid object with real weight. Years in, it is still the seat everyone quietly maneuvers for, and the owner lets them argue.

Teak, up close.
Grain that reads quiet
Tight, straight teak grain runs the length of the arms and base — figure a resting forearm actually feels, warm and faintly waxy where lesser chairs offer cold lacquer.
The finish nature applied
Teak carries its own natural oils; we hand-rub more into the arms and frame until lamplight sits on the grain as a low sheen. It smells like wood on delivery day, not like a finishing plant.
Density you can feel
The frame takes two people to carry, and that weight is the point — dense teak reads as permanence underfoot. Its shrinkage, about half of oak's, keeps every mortise tight when the furnace runs all January.
Golden now, silver whenever
Silvering needs outdoor rain and UV; in a living room the arms only deepen toward honey-amber where the window light lands. Where hands rest most, a light sanding and fresh oil restore the surface in an afternoon.
From plank to piece.
The wood selection
Boards are pulled by selectors with thirty years at the lumber stacks and matched by tone across arms and base. Anything with twist or lifeless figure goes back on the pile.
The shaping process
The curves are traced from shop templates and bandsawn just outside the line, then faired with spokeshave and rasp until each arm rounds in one motion.
The hand refinement
Five grades of sandpaper, coarse to fine, follow every curve until a resting forearm finds no edge to notice — the test is touch, not distance.
The final inspection
The finish is oil, hand-rubbed and buffed between thin coats. The maker checks the joints, rocks the chair on a level slab floor, and fits the cushions before it is signed out.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Honest returns
30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.
Questions customers usually ask
How are the chairs built to last?
Every chair in this collection is solid hardwood with mortise-and-tenon joinery at the stress points — the seat-to-leg and back-to-seat joints that decide whether a chair lasts five years or fifty. No hanger bolts, no cam locks, nothing to retighten.
Can seat height or finish be customized?
Seat height and finish tone can be tailored when you order, because the chair is built after you do. If your reading lamp sits low or your side table runs tall, tell us the numbers and the build matches them.
Do the chairs require assembly?
Chairs ship fully assembled. Joints are glued, clamped, and cured at the workshop — nothing for you to bolt together, no wordless diagrams, and no wobble that starts its life at a cam lock.
What upkeep does a wooden chair need?
Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry. Keep the chair a couple of feet from heat vents in winter — dry blasting air is harder on any wood than daily use — and refresh the oil on arms and seat edges once a year, where hands rest most.
How are chairs and sets shipped?
Each chair is made to order, wrapped at every edge, and double-boxed. Pairs and sets ship together where possible, tracking goes out at dispatch — and if a box arrives crushed, photograph it before signing so we can make it right fast.
Is this a dining chair or a lounge chair?
A lounge chair, through and through — lower and deeper than a dining seat, with wide sculpted arms and upholstered seat and back cushions. It is built for long evenings beside a sofa or window, not for pulling up to a table.
