Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Floating vanity

A floating vanity set to your height

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

A vanity that gives the morning back its calm.

The curved form hangs from the wall with nothing beneath it, drawers sculpted into the sweep rather than boxed on. It is solid teak through — top, drawer fronts, drawer boxes — so cosmetics and alcohol-based products meet an oiled surface that can be renewed at home, not a lacquer film that marks once and stays marked.

Getting ready in most bedrooms means a mirror balanced on a dresser and a bag of brushes on the bed. Mounted on a concealed rail at exactly your seated height, this vanity turns the first twenty minutes of a workday into a station: daylight, drawers, clear floor for the robe and slippers. Even the smallest bedroom suddenly has one composed corner — yours.

  • Rail-mounted top sets to your exact seated height
  • Sculpted drawers end the brush bag on the bed
  • Oiled surface wipes clean of powder and spilled toner
  • Open floor beneath keeps a small bedroom feeling airy
  • Doubles as a slim desk in a studio apartment

It fits real homes.

6:40, before the commute

6:40, before the commute

Coffee on the corner, daylight coming up in the mirror, the routine unfolding left to right across clear teak. The train is at 7:22; the twenty minutes at this surface are the only unhurried ones before it.

Saturday, sitter at seven

Saturday, sitter at seven

Dinner reservation at eight, babysitter due at seven. Earrings from the drawer, perfume, one last mirror check under the lamp — and the sculpted teak edge catching the light is somehow part of feeling ready.

The Tuesday undo

The Tuesday undo

Ten p.m. Skincare lined up on the oiled top, the day wiped away in the lamp's low light, brushes and the dryer disappearing into the sculpted drawers. The surface resets to bare grain — tomorrow starts clean.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight grain sweeps across the curved top and drawer fronts, warming under the makeup lamp to a low honey glow — the calm, consistent figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more into the worksurface, so spilled toner or a dropped palette wipes away — and resting wrists meet warm satin, not cold lacquer, on a February morning.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with movement about half of oak's, the wall-hung top stays flat and the drawers keep their fit through the furnace months that stick lesser drawers shut.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors the top deepens gently toward amber — it will not silver without outdoor sun and rain. If the mirror wall gets hard morning light, the shift stays even; a light sanding and fresh oil reset the gold anytime.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Boards come out of three slow weeks in a controlled kiln, then are matched by tone across top and drawer fronts so the curve reads as one surface at arm's length.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The sculpted silhouette is traced from templates, then cut slightly proud of the line — leaving material for the handwork that softens every edge.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

The top and rounded rim are sanded through five grits until resting wrists meet nothing but smooth, warm wood — checked with a bare forearm, not a gauge.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker hangs the vanity on a shop rail, cycles the drawers loaded, and checks the finish before crating.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

What makes the vanity top hold up to daily products?
The worksurface is smooth, knot-free solid teak finished with penetrating oil. Cosmetics wipe off rather than etching in, and if a spill ever does mark it, the spot sands and re-oils at home in ten minutes — a film finish cannot offer that.
What can be customized?
Vanities are built to order — width, height, drawer count, and mirror options all adjust. A 36-inch build with one drawer suits most bedrooms; corner builds are available too.
How much assembly is there?
This is a wall-mounted design: a concealed rail carries the vanity, anchored into studs or blocking, so the height sets exactly where you sit. Hardware ships in the drawer — plan an unhurried hour with a level and a second pair of hands.
How should I clean the surface?
Wipe up cosmetics and alcohol-based products promptly — they are harder on any finish than water. A soft damp cloth daily and a ten-minute oiling twice a year keeps the top even; there is no lacquer film to cloud or chip.
How is a vanity delivered?
Made to order and packed with the mirror and table cradled separately, with full tracking. Larger builds travel freight with a scheduled window — photograph the packaging before the driver leaves, and we make any transit damage right.
