These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly
Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Shipping & returns
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Each basin is carved from solid walnut, the curves drawn freehand around the board's own streaks and curls, so no two bowls repeat. The interior is sanded to glass and sealed with a marine-grade finish inside and out. Walnut deserves plain honesty: it mellows warmer with the years, and the seal — not luck — is what lets it live beside water.
If you have ever ordered from a render and received a stranger, this page will say it outright: your bowl will not match the photo, because the photo's board is gone. Chocolate ground, lighter curls, a mineral streak where yours alone carries one. On a pale counter it becomes the room's single deliberate gesture — and it is one of one.

At about 1,010 on the Janka scale, walnut absorbs the daily knocks of bottles and razors without turning brittle — resilience proven by a century of gunstocks and workbenches.
Mellows, never fades
Walnut is honest about time: in daily sun it lightens slightly and warms rather than fading gray, settling into a patina more personal with every year the seal is kept up.
From plank to piece.
The wood selection
A dense walnut block is chosen for color and figure, then dried twenty days in a temperature-controlled kiln so its moving is over before carving begins. Checked or dull stock never becomes a basin.
The shaping process
The bowl is carved slightly proud of its final curve, following the walnut's own streaks the way water finds its path.
The hand refinement
Interior and rim are sanded through five successive grits until the edge feels right against an open palm, not merely looks right.
The final inspection
The waterproof sealer cures in thin coats. The maker fills the bowl, lets it stand, and drains it before it is signed out of the workshop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

Can a wooden sink actually hold water?
Yes. Each vessel sink is carved from a single piece of dense walnut — kiln-dried before carving so its moving is already done — and sealed inside and out with a waterproof marine-grade finish, the same category of coating that keeps boat brightwork bright under daily running water.
What sizes work with my counter?
Diameters and depths are made to order within plumbing-standard limits. Send your counter depth and faucet reach, and we confirm a size that splashes less and drains well — the bowl gets built to the counter, not the reverse.
What does installation require?
Sinks arrive pre-drilled for a standard 1.75-inch drain and sit on any flat counter. A plumber completes the drain fitting with ordinary US parts — most quote it at under an hour.
How do I keep the seal healthy?
One honest habit: rinse and towel the basin after heavy use, and skip abrasive cleaners. Reapply the recommended sealer about once a year — a ten-minute job — and the bowl stays waterproof. Small upkeep in exchange for a finish you can always fix at home.
How is a sink packed?
Every sink is made to order and ships foam-cradled in a rigid double-walled box. If the carton looks crushed, photograph it before opening — and tracking arrives by email the day the sink leaves the workshop.
Will my walnut sink match the photos exactly?
Close, but never exactly — walnut's curls and mineral streaks belong to each individual board, so your bowl carries a pattern no photo has shown. That variance is the proof it is one of one. Send your faucet and drain measurements with the order and we drill the holes to fit before finishing.
