Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly
Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Shipping & returns
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Inside and out it is sanded smooth, then sealed with a water-resistant, non-toxic coating built for hot water and daily use. The seal, not luck, is what makes a wooden sink work — and it renews with a simple yearly recoat.

Grain that reads quiet
Tight, straight, even grain wraps the carved bowl and rim — and because the bowl is hollowed from one block, the figure flows unbroken from lip to drain, reading deeper when the walls are wet.
The finish nature applied
Teak carries its own natural oils and silica — the chemistry that kept ship decks sound for centuries. The sealed basin keeps that golden warmth visible under a protective, non-toxic coat that beads water on contact, morning steam included.
Density you can feel
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the carved walls hold their shape through twice-daily steam — the block spent twenty days in a controlled kiln before the first gouge was cut.
Golden now, silver whenever
Under a maintained seal, teak's tone deepens gracefully rather than greying — even in a bathroom that fogs the mirror twice a day. If the rim ever dulls, a light refresh of the recommended sealer brings the gold back in an evening.
From plank to piece.
The wood selection
A single dense teak block is chosen for each basin and checked end-grain to end-grain under a lamp. Stock with checks, voids, or dull figure never reaches the carving bench.
The shaping process
The bowl is hollowed slightly proud of its final line, gouge following the grain the way the carver was taught — material left for the handwork that trues the rim and walls.
The hand refinement
Inside and out, the basin is sanded through successive grits until the rim feels right against an open palm — the inner curve finished by fingertip, the only gauge that fits it.
The final inspection
The water-resistant sealer goes on in thin coats, cured between each. The maker fills the bowl, checks the drain seat while it stands full, and empties it only when satisfied.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

Questions customers usually ask
Can a wooden sink actually hold water?
Yes. Each basin is carved from a single block of dense teak — the wood of commercial spas and steam rooms — and sealed inside and out with a waterproof marine-grade finish made for daily running water. It is filled and checked at the workshop before it ships, so the proof happens before the box does.
What sizes work with my counter?
Diameters and depths are made to order within plumbing-standard limits. Tell us your counter depth and faucet reach, and we will confirm a size that splashes less and drains well — the two numbers most sink regrets trace back to.
What does installation require?
Sinks arrive pre-drilled for a standard 1.75-inch drain and sit on any flat counter. A plumber completes the drain fitting with standard US parts — typically well under an hour, no special hardware.
How do I keep the seal healthy?
Towel the basin after heavy use, run the fan, and skip abrasive cleaners — mild soap and warm water only. Dark spots on bath teak are mildew feeding on soap film sitting on the wood, never the wood itself; a bowl dried and resealed yearly never gives it a foothold.
How is a sink packed?
Every sink is made to order and ships foam-cradled in a rigid double-walled box. Tracking arrives by email the day the sink leaves the workshop; check the rim on arrival before recycling the box, and if anything slipped through we make it right.
Can you drill the drain and faucet holes for me?
Yes. Share your hole measurements when you order and we drill them to match your faucet and drain hardware exactly, so the sink arrives ready for your plumber to connect — no field-drilling a finished basin.
