Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Handcrafted solid wood · Vanity

One trunk, one vanity, no repeats

The piece

No two trunks. No two mornings.

Ordering furniture from a render usually ends with darker-than-the-photos in the review. A trunk vanity cannot make that mistake, because there is no standard to fall short of — the basin sits where this particular tree allows, the natural edge stands where it grew, and the grain you receive exists exactly once.

In the primary bathroom that means the piece is provenance, not decor. Teak runs honey to deep caramel and settles a shade richer over its first sunny months, so expect the wood to outdo its own listing photo. Ask and we will send photos of your actual trunk before it ships.

  • Sealed in thin repeated coats for daily splash and steam
  • Trued dead level so stone and ceramic vessel sinks sit flat
  • Drain cutout drilled to your basin before it ships
  • Trunk mass stands planted through years of morning traffic
  • Wipes dry in one towel pass after the rush

It fits real homes.

Crate day

The crate comes apart in the front hall and the house smells like a woodshop. Two adults, one slow walk down the hallway, and a full minute spent just looking at the rings before anyone mentions plumbing.

House tour, saved for last

New neighbors get the tour in October. Kitchen, yard, the usual nods — then the bathroom door opens and the conversation stops. Sixty-odd years of rings under a basin will do that. Nobody hurries this part.

Two minutes, timer running

A three-year-old on a step stool insists on the tree sink for toothbrushing. The timer runs its full two minutes, and one small hand stays flat on the wood the whole time, like it might wander off.

Made to order

Every piece is made to order, and dimensions vary from one to the next. Need a different size for your space? Tell us your measurements and we'll build it to fit.

Teak, up close.

The grain

Honey and amber bands run the length of each plank. No two boards repeat, so your piece is the only one with this pattern.

The oils

Teak grows its own protective oils, and they carry the wood through dry winters and humid summers that crack lesser boards. Spills just need wiping up promptly.

The weight

Lift a corner and you feel dense, solid stock with no hollow frames or fillers. Kiln-dried before the build, it sits flat and stays put, even when the heat comes on.

The years ahead

Teak deepens toward a richer brown as it lives with you. A wipe of teak oil twice a year holds the tone you chose.

From plank to piece.

Select

Planks graded by practiced eyes, then kiln-dried slowly until they settle.

Mill

Each board cut, squared, and matched to the pattern.

Shape

Joined and eased with hand tools after the machines have done the rough work.

Finish

Sanded fine, then oiled until the grain reads deep.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Is each vanity really a single tree trunk?
Each vanity begins as a genuine tree trunk section — selected, dried, stabilized, and sealed for bathroom humidity — carrying a counter or basin. Yours will match no photograph exactly, by nature.
How do I order the right size?
Sizing starts with your space: send width, height, and sink choice, and we select a trunk to suit. We share photos of the actual trunk before finishing begins.
What does installation involve?
The trunk arrives as one sealed, pre-drilled piece for your specified basin and faucet. A plumber handles supply and drain hookup with standard US fittings throughout.
How do I maintain a sealed trunk?
Wipe standing water from the top and base after use and ventilate the room well. Reapply the sealer yearly in a daily-use bathroom to keep the trunk protected.
How does a trunk vanity ship?
Trunk vanities are made to order and freight-crated upright with internal bracing. Tracking is provided, and the delivery appointment is scheduled with you directly before arrival.
Can a real tree trunk live next to a shower?
Yes — teak is the wood commercial steam rooms and spa benches run on, wetter duty than any home bath. Each trunk is kiln-dried for twenty days before the build, then sealed in thin repeated coats where water lands. Two habits close the gap: run the fan while you shower and wipe standing water after the rush. If black spots ever appear, that is soap residue feeding mildew on the surface, not the wood failing — a rinse and a soft scrub clears it.
What sink and faucet will fit — and will it fit through my door?
Most trunk vanities pair with a vessel sink on the trued top and a wall-mounted or tall vessel faucet; each listing states the top dimensions and whether the drain cutout ships pre-drilled or cut to your basin's template. Check the listed weight before delivery day — a trunk is a two-person carry — and measure your narrowest doorway against the widest point of the piece. Made to order means we confirm fit before the build starts.
