Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Dining table

One slab, every gathering after

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

The gathering surface the house organizes itself around.

A substantial teak top keeps the tree's contoured outline while the solid base beneath holds clean, deliberate geometry. The designers set that contrast on purpose — wild edge, composed stance — and each artisan selects the slab, flattens the top by hand, and oils it board-deep. It is solid through the full thickness, so it can be sanded and renewed for decades.

Most dining tables are a render you order and a stranger you receive, a shade darker than the photo. This one is the actual slab we select and dry twenty days before cutting, and you see it before it ships, so the grain you get is yours alone. Once it lands the room stops being a pass-through, and there is a quiet pleasure in watching a first guest choose the seat nearest the edge.

  • Substantial top seats dinner parties and daily meals alike
  • Solid base keeps the table planted through the busiest nights
  • Live edge no other table will ever repeat
  • Teak takes homework, hobbies, and hot serving dishes
  • Anchors an open-plan room without a wall's help

It fits real homes.

Game night headquarters

Game night headquarters

Friday, the board unfolds across the middle, snack bowls claim the corners, and four hours disappear. The table takes dice throws, elbow-leans, and a spilled soda without a complaint or a lasting mark.

Drawing the room's line

Drawing the room's line

First weekend in the open-plan loft, the table lands and suddenly the great room has an address: living ends here, dining begins there. They taped its outline on the floor before ordering, and it dropped in like it was drawn on.

Tuesday, 4 p.m.

Tuesday, 4 p.m.

Backpacks hit the bench, worksheets fan out, and the table becomes a study hall until dinner claims it back. Two shifts a day, every weekday, and the pencil dents just add to the record of a good run.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight, even grain runs the full length of the substantial top, framing the wild contour of the edge — the calm figure teak is named for. Every knot and curve is unique to your slab.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more into the top and base, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin. Cured oil is food-safe and sheds red wine with a wipe, no refinish required.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with shrinkage about half that of oak, the thick top stays flat through a Minneapolis winter of forced-air heat and a humid Midwest August alike.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Left outdoors, teak weathers to a paper-thin silver-grey. Indoors it deepens toward honey instead; a light sanding and fresh oil bring the tabletop's gold back whenever years of meals dull the surface.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Each slab is chosen by thirty-year selectors for a live edge worth keeping and grain that runs clean across the full seating width, then kiln-dried twenty days. Lesser stock is set aside.

The shaping process

The shaping process

Top and solid base are cut slightly proud from templates, the edge left untouched for the hand-shaping that preserves its outline.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

The top is flattened and sanded through five grits, the contoured edge eased just enough for resting forearms at a long dinner.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks level, base, and finish before the table is signed out.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Is the tabletop solid wood all the way through?
Solid teak through the entire top — no veneer, no MDF core — chosen for the one surface in the house that hosts homework, holidays, and everything between. It is thick enough to sand and re-oil for generations.
How do I choose the right size?
Tables are made to order, so we build to your seat count and room. Tell us the space and how many you host, and we will recommend a length and overhang — measure your narrowest doorway before you order.
What does setup involve?
The base attaches to the top with pre-fitted bolts and figure-eight fasteners that let the wood move with the seasons. Two people, twenty minutes, all hardware included — it arrives as a table, not a flat-pack.
How do I care for a daily-use table?
Wipe after meals with a damp cloth and dry, and use trivets under hot dishes. Re-oil once or twice a year when the top looks thirsty — a twenty-minute ritual, and a white ring lifts with a warm dry iron in seconds.
How is a dining table shipped?
Made to order and freight-crated, top and base cradled separately. Photograph the crate before the driver leaves and note damage on the receipt; we provide tracking and schedule delivery with you in advance.
Will my table's live edge match the photos?
Not exactly — the edge follows the outline of the actual slab we select for you, so its curves, knots, and tone are yours alone. We send photos of your piece before it ships, so the variation is a promise, not a surprise.
