Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
The top is one continuous teak slab, chosen for its grain and a live edge worth leaving alone. Our designers set the height and depth for real hallways; an artisan trims, sands, and oils the slab by hand. A board this long only stays flat because it spent twenty days in a temperature-controlled kiln before anyone cut it.
Without a landing zone, the entry clutter spreads through the house — keys on the counter, mail on the stairs, the leash wherever. This ends that at the door: everything lands here, the lamp greets you after dark, and the first thing anyone sees walking in is a slab of real wood instead of the mess.
7:40 on a school morning. Keys hit the tray, the field-trip form gets signed on the slab, the dog leash comes off its corner, and everyone is out the door in thirty seconds. The choreography works because the table does.
A December Tuesday, dark since 4:30. The console lamp is on its timer, so coming home means walking into warm light pooling on real grain instead of feeling for a switch in a black hallway. Small thing; changes every arrival.
In the new open-plan place, the console lands behind the sofa and the room finally has a line: living ends here, dining begins there. They taped the outline on the floor before ordering — it fits like it was drawn on.

Tight, straight, even grain runs the full length of the slab, from squared end to bark line — calm figure with a wild border, and the edge reads like tree bark under a passing hand because it once was.
Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more into the top and along the live edge, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin — so the entry smells faintly of wood the first week, never of finish.
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with about half the seasonal movement of oak, the long slab stays flat and true from muggy August through the first dry weeks of furnace season by the drafty front door.
Beside a bright entry sidelight, teak's surface drifts toward silver-grey over years of sun; a few feet deeper into the hall it only warms. A light sanding and fresh oil restore the gold anytime.
Slabs are pulled one at a time by selectors with thirty years at the stacks — grain, knots worth keeping, a live edge with character. Plain or twisted stock stays behind.
The slab is cut to length slightly proud of the chalk line, and the base laid out to carry it level — leaving room for the handwork ahead.
Top, base, and the natural edge are sanded by hand through five grits until the bark line feels as soft as the flat surface.
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks level against a straightedge, tests every joint, and inspects the finish before the console leaves the workshop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.
