Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Wall sculpture

A current of wood across the wall

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

Grown lines no designer could draw — only find.

Each sculpture starts with teak roots the tree shaped over decades. Our designers arrange the sections until the composition flows one direction, like water; an artisan then joins, carves back, and hand-sands the whole run so it reads as a single gesture. It is solid root wood throughout — the shadows are cast by real depth, not printed on a flat board.

The longest wall in an open plan is the one a small framed print gets lost on. Across a dining wall or above a console, this piece carries that whole sightline and gives the room its horizon line. The flow, the knots, the curves are the tree's own — yours exists nowhere else — and it is the thing dinner guests face all evening, the reason the question arrives before dessert does.

  • Long empty wall? Horizontal flow suits dining and halls
  • Adds carved depth no framed art can
  • Reads clearly from across an open plan
  • Every composition is a one-off arrangement
  • Hangs on two screws with fitted hardware

It fits real homes.

The long-table view

The long-table view

Seated across the dining table on a Friday, guests spend the whole meal facing the sculpture's flow. Conversation drifts to it between courses; a hand comes to rest on the console below, tracing a curve, and someone finally asks who made it.

Behind the video call

Behind the video call

On camera five days a week at 8:58 before the standup, the flowing teak behind your chair does quiet work — one focal point, no clutter, reading calm on the webcam. A colleague asks about the grain more often than about the agenda.

Hallway current

Hallway current

Down the corridor everyone walks twenty times a day, the sculpture pulls the eye along its length — the most forgettable wall in the house given a direction. Keys drop, the dog passes, and the passage stops feeling like leftover space.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Along each flowing section, teak's tight, straight grain follows the root's own direction of growth, so the figure and the movement agree — honey to caramel, deeper where the daylight rakes it.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more along every branch line, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin that never feels like plastic — and opens smelling of woodshop and sweet oil, nothing chemical.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the composition stays true on the wall through dry forced-air winters and humid summers, no lifting joints at the seams.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

In strong daily sun, teak drifts toward silver-grey — a surface change only, a paper-thin layer. A light sanding and fresh oil restore the flow to gold anytime; the color stays a decision, not a loss.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Root and branch sections are chosen one at a time for direction and soundness, then kiln-dried so the wood has finished moving — pieces that fight the flow never make the composition.

The shaping process

The shaping process

Sections are arranged, joined, and trimmed slightly proud of the final silhouette, leaving material for the handwork that unifies the line.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

The full run is sanded by hand through successive grits until every transition between sections disappears under an open palm.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks hanging points, balance, and finish before the sculpture ships.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

What is the wall art made from?
Wall art in this collection is worked from solid-wood roots and slices — carved, joined, or arranged — solid the whole way, so the piece has real depth and shadow, not a printed pattern over foam.
Can a piece be scaled to my wall?
Yes — dimensions scale to your wall since each piece is made to order. Send a photo of the space with rough measurements and we will suggest proportions for the sightline you are filling.
How does it hang?
Hanging hardware is fitted at the workshop — keyhole slots or French cleats chosen by weight — with matching anchors in the box. Most pieces hang on two screws into studs, and a paper template locates every one.
Will my sculpture match the photos exactly?
No — and that is the point. Each composition is assembled from naturally grown teak roots, so the flow, knots, and curves of yours exist nowhere else. We share photos of your actual piece before it ships, so the one thing you cannot control holds no surprise.
How does wall art ship?
Each piece is made to order and ships flat in a rigid, foam-lined carton with the hardware taped inside. Tracking is emailed once the carton ships; if it arrives damaged, photograph the box and we make it right.
