Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Handcrafted solid wood · End table

Small table, serious wood

The piece

Pick it up — that is the answer.

Small tables are where hollow construction hides best, so run the tests the internet taught you: lift it, tap it, check the underside. This one answers plainly — solid teak in the top and the legs, no veneer, no cardboard-core shelf, and roughly double the weight of the lookalike, because solid reads on a scale.

At this size the heft is not a burden; it is the warranty you can feel. In the living room it means a table that gets sanded and re-oiled in year fifteen instead of chipped down to particleboard in year three. The grain you see is the board itself, the whole way through.

  • Holds the lamp, the book, and the evening's last glass
  • Bedside height keeps water and phone within half-asleep reach
  • Slim footprint slips between sofa arm and wall
  • Solid teak top — knocks solid, never hollow
  • Arrives finished; the only assembly is choosing its corner

It fits real homes.

First coffee, first light

Six-forty on a school morning, house still dark. The first mug lands at the sofa's elbow with a soft wooden knock — same spot, same sound, the day's official opening bell.

The eleven-o'clock chapter

One more chapter becomes three. The lamp on the end table stays lit past eleven on a work night, reading glasses folded on the cover, water inside arm's reach, nobody keeping score.

Game night landing zone

Friday game night: four drinks, a bowl of pretzels, somebody's phone face-down mid-argument over the rules. The table absorbs the whole rowdy evening and asks for one wipe afterward.

Made to order

Every piece is made to order, and dimensions vary from one to the next. Need a different size for your space? Tell us your measurements and we'll build it to fit.

Teak, up close.

The grain

Honey and amber bands run the length of each plank. No two boards repeat, so your piece is the only one with this pattern.

The oils

Teak grows its own protective oils, and they carry the wood through dry winters and humid summers that crack lesser boards. Spills just need wiping up promptly.

The weight

Lift a corner and you feel dense, solid stock with no hollow frames or fillers. Kiln-dried before the build, it sits flat and stays put, even when the heat comes on.

The years ahead

Teak deepens toward a richer brown as it lives with you. A wipe of teak oil twice a year holds the tone you chose.

From plank to piece.

Select

Planks graded by practiced eyes, then kiln-dried slowly until they settle.

Mill

Each board cut, squared, and matched to the pattern.

Shape

Joined and eased with hand tools after the machines have done the rough work.

Finish

Sanded fine, then oiled until the grain reads deep.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

What goes into an end table here?
Every end table here is cut from solid stock, often with the grain running continuously from top to side on waterfall designs. Hand-sanded, oiled, and ready to work beside a chair.
What heights do you offer?
We size end tables to order. Common builds run 20 to 26 inches tall, but if your reading chair or bed frame calls for something else, we cut to that.
Does it come ready to use?
End tables arrive fully assembled and ready to place. There is nothing to bolt, level, or adjust — unbox it, position it, and set the lamp and your book down.
What is the care routine?
Dust with a dry cloth, wipe rings before they set, and refresh the oil yearly. Small tables near radiators or vents appreciate a little distance from direct heat.
How is an end table packed?
Each end table is made to order and double-boxed with padded corners, shipping by parcel carrier with tracking sent the day it leaves the workshop.
Is a table this small really solid wood, or just solid wood legs?
Solid teak throughout — top, legs, and any shelf. No veneer, no MDF, nothing a chipped corner could ever expose. You can verify it yourself on delivery day: solid wood runs roughly double the weight of a veneer lookalike and never sounds hollow under a knuckle. It is also why this top can be sanded and refinished for decades, which veneer does not survive even once.
Why does a small table take weeks to arrive?
Because it does not exist yet. Nothing sits in a warehouse — the build starts when your order does, from boards that already spent twenty days in a temperature-controlled kiln. You get checkpoint updates and photos of your actual piece along the way, the timeline is stated in weeks up front, and cancellation is free before the build begins. The wait is the proof of the one-of-one claim.
