Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Coffee table

Farmhouse calm at coffee height

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

Farmhouse lines, cut in solid teak and finished by hand.

The designers scaled this table for rooms that cannot spare an inch — a two-foot top, clean farmhouse profile, sixteen inches off the floor. Each teak board is chosen for its grain, matched across the surface, then shaped, hand-sanded, and oiled until the texture invites a flat palm. Solid wood all the way through, heavy enough that the tap test rings instead of sounding hollow.

In a snug den or a fourth-floor apartment, it holds the middle without swallowing the floor. Buyers burned by a sticker over sawdust tap this top and feel solid wood answer back — kiln-dried twenty days, so it stays dead flat when the radiator runs all winter. It anchors a rented living room the hour the truck pulls away, and moves to the next lease without complaint.

  • Short on space? A two-foot top fits dens and apartments
  • Low loveseat? Sixteen inches pairs with low sofas
  • Everyday abuse? Solid teak stands up to mugs and heels
  • Need it to double? It works as an end table too
  • Worn top? The oil finish renews at home in an afternoon

It fits real homes.

Tea and one chapter

Tea and one chapter

Late afternoon in the reading corner: a mug on the teak, a novel spread face-down, rain starting at the window and the lamp at its warmest. The compact top holds the pause as well as it holds the cup, right at the arm of the chair.

Friday, feet up

Friday, feet up

Takeout boxes, two remotes, and a pair of socked heels on the edge of the top. The week ends the same way every Friday, and the teak takes all of it — grease, heels, the odd dropped chopstick — without a mark that matters by morning.

The two-week puzzle

The two-week puzzle

A thousand-piece puzzle claims the tabletop through the holidays. Everyone who passes fits one or two, and the low top keeps the whole picture within reach of the youngest solver kneeling beside it. In January it clears, and the wood shows not a dent.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight, even grain runs the length of the compact top — the calm, consistent figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name. Under a flat palm it feels dense and warm, the weight alone telling you no veneer is hiding a hollow core.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more into the top and farmhouse edges, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin that never feels like plastic — and arrives smelling faintly of wood rather than the fumes a boxed import off-gasses for weeks.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the small top stays perfectly flat through every season. Set a foot or two from the radiator, it holds its shape where fast-dried wood would check overnight.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors the teak keeps its honey tone and slowly deepens; only outdoor sun and rain turn it silver-grey. Either way the change is surface-thin — a light sanding and fresh oil bring the top back to gold whenever apartment life dulls it.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Boards are pulled one at a time and matched by tone and grain across the compact top, then kiln-dried twenty days. Twisted or dull stock never makes the cut.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The farmhouse profile is traced from templates, then cut slightly proud of the line — leaving material for the handwork on every corner.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Top and edges are sanded through successive grits until the corners feel soft against an open palm, not merely look soft.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks level and finish before the table is signed out of the workshop.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Is the tabletop really solid wood?
The coffee tables in this collection are solid wood through the full thickness of the top — many in teak, whose natural oils shrug off the sweating glass and Friday-night spills a coffee table lives with. The weight and the ring of a tap tell you there is no hollow core.
Can I adjust the size or height?
Standard sizes fit most sofas, but each table is built after you order, so length, height, and shape can be adjusted. Two inches lower for a deep sofa is a common request, and a measured fit costs nothing extra.
How much assembly is required?
Most designs arrive fully assembled; a few ship with legs off to protect them in transit. Those bolt on in minutes with the included key — no separate tools, no wordless diagram, no lost afternoon.
How do I care for the top?
Coasters help but are not a rule; wipe spills when you see them and dry the surface. A thin coat of oil once or twice a year keeps the top rich, and a scratch spot-sands and re-oils at home rather than needing a refinisher.
How are coffee tables delivered?
Coffee tables are made to order, blanket-wrapped, corner-blocked, and crated when size demands. Photograph the carton before signing if it looks crushed; you get tracking at dispatch and a heads-up before any freight delivery is scheduled.
How compact is this table, exactly?
This build measures 24 inches wide, 18 deep, and 16 tall — sized for loveseats, apartment living rooms, and reading corners where a full-length coffee table would crowd the walkway. Larger builds are available to order.
