Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid oak · Farmhouse vanity

Farmhouse calm for the smallest room

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

Countryside warmth, cut to a city footprint.

The brief was simple: farmhouse warmth without a farmhouse's square footage. Our designers drew a twenty-inch wall-hung form and kept every inch working. An artisan then picks a solid oak board with honest figure — real wood through and through, not veneer over particleboard — shapes the live edge by hand, and sands the counter until the grain reads soft and settled.

Small rooms rarely earn compliments, and a plastic-topped builder vanity never does. Hung in a half bath, oiled and kiln-dried through twenty days so it holds its shape when the furnace runs the air dry, this one gives a plain room a point of view. Weekend guests come back to the table mentioning the sink counter, and you quietly collect it.

  • Twenty-inch width fits half baths and tight sink walls
  • Built-in storage holds soap, cloths, and spare rolls
  • Wall mount keeps the whole floor clear for cleaning
  • Live edge gives a plain room one honest, real-wood detail
  • Oiled oak wipes clean after the splashiest school mornings

It fits real homes.

The guest-bath tour

The guest-bath tour

Overnight guests get the short tour — towels here, switch there — and linger at the oak counter anyway, a thumb tracing the bark line before they turn the tap. The wood is warm where the tile is not.

Monday reset

Monday reset

Sunday night, the counter cleared and wiped, a fresh hand towel folded by the basin. Thirty seconds of order that makes the six a.m. Monday scramble feel less like a scramble, against a surface that wipes clean without ghosting.

Nothing on the floor

Nothing on the floor

The vanity floats, so the mop reaches the far corner and the bathroom scale slides under the sink wall. Small bathrooms breathe better when nothing stands on the floor — and the oak stays clear of standing water besides.

Teak, up close.

Cathedral and fleck

The counter's plain-sawn face shows bold cathedral arches running toward the live edge; a quarter-sawn stretch on the storage face shimmers with ray fleck under the vanity light. A century of American craft, small enough to hang in a half bath.

Cathedral and fleck

Finishes without fuss

Oak's even, tannin-rich grain takes the hand-rubbed oil cleanly, without blotching. It comes out of the crate smelling of wood and oil rather than a new-furniture chemical haze, in a warm tone that suits farmhouse cream and modern tile alike.

Finishes without fuss

Barrel-grade structure

Janka hardness near 1,350 and tyloses-plugged pores — the closed-cell structure that made white oak the wood of whiskey barrels sits under every splash this counter takes, beading water instead of drinking it in.

Barrel-grade structure

Deepens with the decades

White oak ages by gaining color, not wear. Kept a couple of feet from the shower's steam and wiped dry, this vanity looks more settled at year ten than the day it went on the wall.

Deepens with the decades

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Oak boards are pulled one at a time and judged for honest farmhouse figure, then kiln-dried twenty days so the wood is done moving. Stock with twist, checks, or dull grain never makes the vanity.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The wall-hung form is traced from templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line — leaving material for the handwork around the live edge.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Counter and storage faces are sanded through successive grits until the bark line feels right against an open palm.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks level, mounting points, and finish before it leaves the workshop.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Will these shelves hold up in a humid bathroom?
Yes. This vanity is solid oak, not veneer over particleboard, so there is no core to swell. Its tannin-rich, closed pores handle damp, and the boards are kiln-dried twenty days, so the wood arrives done moving. Wipe standing water and run the fan; it stays handsome for decades.
What lengths and depths are available?
Standard lengths run from about 16 to 36 inches, but every shelf is made to order — send us the width of your alcove or wall and we will cut to it.
What does mounting involve?
Shelves ship with concealed brackets and hardware for both studs and masonry. Anchor into at least one stud where possible; over tile, use the included anchors and a quality masonry bit.
How do I care for the wood near a shower?
Wipe standing water after showers and run the fan so the room dries out. A light re-oil a couple of times a year when the surface looks thirsty keeps it rich rather than grey — the oil spot-repairs at home, no refinisher needed.
How is my order packed and shipped?
Every shelf is made to order, wrapped edge to edge, and boxed with rigid corner guards. You receive tracking the day it ships from the workshop.
What are this vanity's exact dimensions?
This build measures 20 inches wide, 18 deep, and 10 high — sized for powder rooms and single-basin walls. Like every piece here it is made to order, so width and depth can be trimmed to your alcove.
