Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
The counter keeps its live edge — the line the tree drew, kept by the builder who pulled the board. No two counters share an outline, so yours will not match the photo; that is the receipt of a one-of-one. The teak is sanded through five grits and oiled by hand until it is ready to live over running water.
Bathrooms run cold — tile, porcelain, chrome, nothing that warms to a hand. This is the wood commercial steam rooms trust in conditions wetter than any home bath, hung at basin height so the floor below stays clear. Guests come out asking about the edge that is not straight, and you get to answer: a tree decided that.
A step stool appears at 7:15 on a school morning, and the counter hosts two toothbrushes and one running commentary. The splash beads on oiled teak instead of soaking in — the same trick it performed as ship decking, a century before school mornings.
Tuesday, 9:30 pm, door shut, tub filling. A candle and a glass sit on the live edge, and beside all that cold tile the wood is the one surface in the room holding any warmth — the steam room at the gym runs on the same wood.
The remodel wraps in August and the vanity goes up last, after the tile, before the mirror. On the first morning the counter still smells faintly of oil and fresh-cut wood, and the clear floor beneath makes the small bathroom read a size larger.

Tight, straight, even grain runs the length of the counter — the calm figure collectors ask for by name — and in a steamy room it releases the faint leathery scent genuine teak is known by.
Teak carries its own natural oils; we hand-rub more into the live-edge counter. Morning splash beads and sits on the surface instead of soaking in, then wipes away without a mark or a swollen edge.
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, kiln-dried for twenty days before the first cut, the counter stays flat and true through years of twice-daily steam and August humidity.
Near daily showers teak can drift toward silver-grey — a paper-thin surface change, not damage. A light sanding and fresh oil bring the counter's gold back in an afternoon.
Counters begin as single boards pulled for tone, figure, and a live edge worth keeping — graded by hands with thirty years at the racks. Stock with twist or checks goes back down the stack.
The floating structure is laid out from templates, then cut slightly proud of the line — leaving material for the handwork that trues every surface against a straightedge.
The counter and its live edge are sanded by hand through successive grits, the bark line eased so it never catches a towel or a sleeve.
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks level, mounting points, and finish under a wet palm before the vanity leaves the workshop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.
