Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
General care
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly
Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Shipping & returns
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
The narrow console for walls that never had room.
The designers held the depth to a hand-span so the table could live where furniture usually cannot — the tight hall, the landing, the strip behind the front door. An artisan then selects a teak board for its knots and figure, shapes the slim frame by hand, and oils it slow.
Against that once-empty wall it changes the whole passage. Walls belong to the landlord; this does not — cut from solid teak and joined wood to wood, it takes years of keys and bags without loosening at the legs the way a screwed-together particleboard table does by lease two. A lamp, a key dish, one framed photo, and a guest squeezing past stops to ask about the grain.

Teak, up close.
Grain that reads quiet
Tight, even grain runs the full length of the narrow top, legible even in the dim light of an interior hall — the calm figure a hand finds on the way past, no showroom gloss, nothing shouting for the tight space.
The finish nature applied
Teak carries its own oils — the box opens smelling faintly sweet, not like chemicals off-gassing in a small apartment. We hand-rub more into the top and slim legs, a warm satin that never feels like the plastic film on flat-pack.
Density you can feel
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, teak moves about half as much as oak. Even a narrow top stays flat when a radiator-heated apartment swings dry in winter — keep it a foot or two off the heat and forget it.
Golden now, silver whenever
Indoors this console never silvers — it deepens toward honey where the hall light lands. A scratch from a set of keys sands out with fine paper and a wipe of oil, a ten-minute fix in any rental kitchen.
From plank to piece.
The wood selection
Boards are pulled one at a time for tone and figure across the slim top. Twisted or dull stock never makes the cut.
The shaping process
The narrow frame is traced from templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line — leaving material for the final handwork.
The hand refinement
Top and legs are sanded through successive grits until every long edge feels right against an open palm.
The final inspection
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks stance and level before the console leaves the workshop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

What are the console tables made from?
Each console in this collection is cut from solid wood — often a single continuous slab for the top — then hand-finished so the grain, knots, and natural edges remain part of the piece.
How narrow can this table be built?
This design exists for tight spaces, and every one is made to order. Tell us the wall you have — down to a ten-inch depth and whatever length the hall allows — and we cut the build to those numbers.
Will I need to assemble it?
Most consoles arrive assembled. Designs with sculptural bases ship in two parts that join with pre-fitted bolts — a ten-minute job for one person with the included key.
What care does a console need?
Dust with a soft cloth and wipe up water from vases and umbrellas promptly. An annual oiling keeps the top ready for the keys, mail, and hands it greets daily.
How is a console packed?
Every console is made to order and packed in a fitted crate or double-walled carton with rigid corner guards. Tracking is emailed to you the day it ships.
Will a narrow top like this cup or warp?
A slim top shows movement faster than a wide one, which is exactly why the drying matters here. The teak is hand-selected by workers with thirty years at the lumber stacks, then held in a temperature-controlled kiln for twenty days, until the moisture has left slowly and evenly. The board does its shrinking before it is ever cut, so the top stays flat against the wall through a dry, radiator-heated winter.
